HISTORY
Regional Medical Laboratories, Inc. (RML, Inc.) is a full service clinical and anatomic pathology reference laboratory.  RML began operations in the early 1950's providing laboratory services to many hospitals, physician offices and clinics in Southwest Michigan. This pathology owned laboratory merged with Battle Creek Health Systems on July 1, 1987. Our joint venture laboratory was one of the early successful models, merging several hospitals and a large local reference laboratory. This consolidation resulted in significant cost reduction for laboratory services and the savings were passed on to our patients and clients. A further benefit is our ability to perform testing 24 hours day.  Turn around time for routine testing is often 2-4 hours from receipt of specimens.

LABORATORY SERVICES
We offer a complete clinical pathology test menu, performing routine testing through moderately complex esoteric testing at one of our two testing sites.  Highly esoteric testing is referred to one of several national esoteric testing laboratories, depending on their specialty.

Anatomic pathology is performed onsite by a staff of five pathologists with varying specialties.  The pathology group also provides management and directorship services to several hospitals and laboratories.

  • Specific procedures and normal ranges for several species.
  • Veterinary Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist.
• Water testing
• Potable water testing for real estate, health departments and other clients.
• Insurance Physicals
  • Including lab testing, EkG and other procedures.
• Health Screening
  • Laboratory testing for the general public through employer programs.
