Being healthy and able to live an active lifestyle is of great importance.  Early detection of some illnesses could mean the difference between life and death.  Did you know that in most cases a simple blood or urine test can determine if an individual might have diabetes, anemia, liver or kidney disease, potential for a heart attack or coronary artery disease and even prostate cancer?

We at Regional Medical Laboratories, Inc., have received several requests from employers, various groups and organization about basic health screening benefits that we have been offering to our staff for over twenty years.  As weve assisted in implementing this benefit at these facilities, weve found that more inquiries are surfacing.  Because this benefit is being so well received, we are pleased to announce this option to all area employers, groups and organizations.

The laboratory tests available are outlined in detail below.

The Chemistry Health Screening is a general blood chemistry screen.  It checks for diabetes, high cholesterol, liver, kidney and heart disease.

The PBC (Partial Blood Count) is an evaluation of anemia, leukemia, reaction to inflammation and infections.

The Lipid Panel tests the Total Cholesterol, Triglycerides, HDL Cholesterol (good cholesterol) and a calculated LDL Cholesterol (bad cholesterol).  These substances are fats found in the blood.  Both are associated with risk assessment for coronary arterial disease.

The PSA (Prostatic Specific Antigen) is a screening test for male prostate cancer.  An elevated result may be caused by prostate cancer or other non-cancerous conditions.

The Urinalysis, in addition to evaluating basic kidney function, is utilized to screen for diabetes, liver dysfunction, urinary tract infection and general body metabolism.

Fees for the RML HealthCare Screening are at a reduced rate.  Choose from any single test or choose the Chemistry Health Screening and add any additional tests at a reduced fee.  Please contact RML, Marketing Department at 269-969-6161 or 800-968-3251, extension 6936 for a competitive fee quote.

The amount of labor that your facility has to put forth to organize the event is very minimal.  RML provides all of the necessary material to promote the event, including a brochure that we will personalize with your logo and the Service Package information that you elect to offer.  This brochure will be used to promote the HealthCare Screening Program at your facility.

This health screening service is provided to your organization with or without a fee depending upon the service package you elect to offer.

  • Service Package One:  No fees to the employer, group or organization.  Your participants can come to one of our convenient RML drawing centers and pay for the testing services at the time they are drawn, via cash, check or credit card.
  • Service Package Two:  Small on site service fee.  Our highly skilled phlebotomy staff comes directly to your facility and collects the specimens.  The participant then pays for the testing services at the time they are drawn, via cash, check or credit card.
  • Service Package Three:  Your facility pays for all testing fees.  Your participants can come to one of our RML drawing centers, or, you may choose to have our phlebotomy staff come directly to your facility and collect the specimens.

Easy to read results will be mailed directly to the participants within 21 days of collection.  All results will be held strictly confidential and will not be released to the sponsoring employer, group or organization.  Our staff physician will review seriously abnormal results and the participant will receive a recommendation for further treatment.

This benefit provides a win-win situation.  The participant receives information that may help them avert a very serious health situation by early detection, and they know that their employer, group or organization is concerned about them.

If you would like further details, please contact our Marketing Department at 269-969-6161 or 800-968-3251 extension 6936.
